Position Overview: We are seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive cost management and quantity surveying services for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform pre-contract and post-contract cost management and quantity surveying tasks. Execute accurate and efficient take-offs. Prepare budget estimates, pre-contract cost estimates, and various stage cost plans. Develop Bills of Quantities according to standard formats. Compile pre-tender cost estimates and tender evaluation reports. Review and negotiate prices with contractors. Prepare contract documents and review payment valuations. Manage project change control for additional works. Participate in cost reporting processes and prepare budget vs. actual cost reconciliation reports. Utilize CostX or equivalent software for measurement tasks. Price and check additional works and post-contract cost estimates. Prepare cash flow forecasts for all project stages. Contribute to supply chain management processes. Attend commercial meetings with project stakeholders as required. Prepare Final Accounts and assist in contractor negotiations. Represent the company professionally and diligently.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of pre and post-contract technical cost and commercial management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD. Experience with cost estimation and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or Candy). Strong prioritization and self-management skills. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Experience in the Real Estate sector.

Preferred Qualifications:



Associate or Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or in the process of obtaining membership. Experience in Construction, Fit-out, and/or Renovation projects. Middle East work experience (not essential).
