Crowne Plaza West Cairo - Arkan  the 178-room new build forms part of Phase II of Arkan Plaza. The Hotel is 10 minutes away from the “new” Grand Egyptian Museum and 15 minutes from the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is also in close proximity to Cairo International Airport and will be just 10 kilometres away from Sphinx International Airport. Business and leisure travellers can get the best of both worlds with three meeting rooms and a business center along with an outdoor pool and Club Lounge


We are currently looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer to join our amazing team at Crowne Plaza West Cairo – Arkan. 


Your day to day:


•    Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms.
•    Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
•    Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise.
•    Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard.
•    Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
•    Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the hotel including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas.
•    Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
•    Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
•    Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
•    Assist in the implementation of energy conservation program.
•    Recommend maintenance system improvements and energy savings.
•    Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.


What we need from you:


•    Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering field (Master's degree preferable).
•    At least 3 years of experience leading or supervising a team.
•    Specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields
•    Hotel experience preferred
