We are currently looking for Automotive Industry Development Program (AIDP) Manager to join our team in Nissan Motor Egypt (NMEG).* The ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for managing the Automotive Industry Development Program (AIDP) and related taxes, as part of the NMEG Customs & Trade team. Managing all import and export related operations/Incentives/Liabilities/Compliance activities for NMEG. Managing resources in terms of AIDP administrative functions.

A Day in the Life:



AIDP & Customs Regulatory subject matter expertise. Manage NMEG compliance and optimization to/of Customs & Excise and related regulation/legislation adhered to and process/system functioning in place to achieve the aforementioned.
Manage NMEG compliance to relevant indirect tax regulations/legislation adhered to and process/system functioning in place to achieve the aforementioned.
Manage NMEG compliance and optimization of/to AIU guidelines/AIDP regulations and other related government motor industry programs to maximize potential claims and relationships.
Manage compliance to and optimization of AIDP/Incentives (Duty credits) regulation adhered to and process/system functioning in place to achieve the aforementioned.
Enforce and apply proper financial control over related accounting of AIDP and related Indirect Taxes, Incentive claims, including appropriate Database maintenance.
Strong government (AIU, Customs etc.), Industry, Audit stakeholder relationships formed and supported.
Management reports on all AIDP related functions and results.
Business support on all AIDP matters.
Industry engagement and representation.

Major Challenges



Synergizing Customs, Import and Export activities within NMEG to Egyptian Customs and Tax requirements.
Compliance, Incentives optimization and Customs clearance activities of Imports and Exports.
Systems advance planning for legislative compliance.
NMEG customs process and systems alignment to the new AIDP.
Receiving reimbursements from government agencies in a timely manner.
Coordinating between cross- functional teams.
Aligning both financial and operational customs activities, and ensuring transparency and reporting on operational, managerial level.
Interaction with Industry bodies/stakeholders on Governmental regulation.

Who We’re Looking for:



A minimum of 8 years of experience, 5 years’ experience in Accounting function, with full understanding and proven experience in the accounting field.
Automotive industry experience would be a preference.
Experience in Government Policy programs would be an added advantage
Customs & Tax knowledge would be an added advantage.
Strong negotiation skills, communication skills and presentation skills
Fluency in Arabic and English
Proficiency in MS Office
Practical experience in application of accounting principles, which includes experience with General Ledger
Understanding and interpretation of Customs & Tax
Understanding of Indirect Tax
Ability to interpret and apply AIU, AIDP, guidelines and requirements
Ability to analyze information in relationship to accounting principles and business needs and make recommendations to management, including proposing counter-measures where applicable.
A high degree of accuracy and ability to spot errors and mistakes
