Job Description:
The Sultan Al-Qasimi Department of History at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking to recruit adjunct faculty members from historians of the modern world specializing in World History and/or regions of the world beyond the Middle East. Thematic sub-field in histories of religion, space, and environment are especially welcomed. Candidates should view the list of History courses at catalog.aucegypt.edu to indicate which coures they are qualified to teach including special topics courses. Successful canddiates will be listed in a database of potential instructors who may be invited to teach part-time in subsequent semesters depending on departmental needs.
Requirements:
Commitment to teaching and engagement of students. Teaching experience at the university level is expected. Minimum master's degree is required. Doctoral degree candidates and holders are especially desired.
