Job Description
Our client is a well-established manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality packaging materials. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our team. As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts payable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities: - Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support
- Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve any invoice discrepancies
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow projections
- Manage vendor relationships, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
