Accounting Supervisor - MS Dynamics Business Central User - Agriculture Marketplace | Egypt

About the Role

They aim to enhance the agricultural industry's digital connectivity, making it easier for farmers to access high-quality products at competitive prices. 

The Accounting Supervisor oversees accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This role manages a team of three, works closely with sales and procurement, and reports to the Regional Finance Manager. Responsibilities include financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, audit preparation, budgeting, tax compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate various financial reports for management, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support the accounting team in recording daily accounting transactions.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
• Lead the preparation for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
• Ensure all accounting records are accurate and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget versus actual performance, providing variance analysis and suggesting corrective actions when needed.
• Prepare and review tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of corporate tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Oversee the work of accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Report directly to the Regional Finance Manager and ensure alignment with regional financial strategies and practices.
