Job Description
Money Fellows is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. This role involves overseeing the daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in financial management.
- Supervise all accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage budget and forecasting processes, monitoring variance and reporting on key performance indicators.
- Lead audits, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and accounting regulations.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or treasury roles, preferably within the FinTech, technology, or financial services industry.
- Proven experience managing accounting, treasury, and financial operations in a high-growth environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the FinTech industry.
