The Accounting Manager is an integral part of our Accounting team based out of our Egypt site.
Position Details
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to Finance & Administrative Affairs Director, you will be responsible for both the high-level financial strategy and the meticulous day-to-day financial management of the business.
In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the company is positioned for sustainable growth, while maintaining impeccable financial records and reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. To ensure that the company conducts its accounting activities in accordance with the tax laws and regulations and commonly accepted accounting rules.
  2. Responsible for bookkeeping, prepare, post, submit sales invoices, posting purchase invoices, importation process accounting, personal T&E reports, Statutory Ledger, and provide details to CPA (current service provider Mazars) for the Tax Returns. To plan the tax liabilities of the company and to ensure the fulfillment of such obligations. (solid knowledge in e-invoicing portal).
  3. Work in accordance with the quality policy and objectives.
  4. Follow and achieves the quality targets of the department/business.
  5. Ensure the practice of procedures and instructions of his/her unit. (month end procedures like depreciation calculation, FX revaluation in JDE, VAT accounts accruals, weekly payment list preparation etc.)
  6. To supervise the monitoring of official ledgers, declarations, current accounts, cost accounting, accruals, pre-accounting, bank accounts, import and export documents.
  7. To establish the organization and coordination between the accounting department and the non-accounting departments (such as service, sales, marketing, personnel, purchasing, external affairs, etc. on a basic level).
  8. To have official and internal reports prepared regarding accounting works, to notify the management in this regard and to assist them in making strategic decisions.
  9. To plan the activities, objectives, business processes and business days of the accounting department in line with the strategies and general objectives of the company.
  10. To track the Accounts Receivables and follow up the collections in communication with the Sales Team and customers.
  11. Confident and able to work with external consultants (JDE consultants, CPA, external auditors)
  12. Other duties may form part of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business/Accounting.
• Must have a professional accountancy certification.
• Ideally have at least 10 years accounting experience.
• Ideally have previous accounting experience in industry in a pharmaceutical/animal health company.
• Previous "big 4" accountancy/tax/auditing practice experience would be beneficial.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• A business first mindset, able to interpret, link and convert financial data to business performance.
• Strong communication skills with a continuous process improvement mindset
• Flexible to take on additional tasks as and when needed by the company.
• JD Edwards knowledge is preferable. Other EPR knowledge is a plus.
• Business English knowledge is required.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on right first time.
• A team player who Is able to interact and support with many colleagues and stakeholders in different countries.
