Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic Accountant to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. This is a pivotal role in supporting the finance department by maintaining financial records with great attention to detail and accuracy, carrying out daily tasks along with audit and tax responsibilities. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our finance department and supporting our business goals.

What you’ll be doing

• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports, including related payments.
• Recommend tax strategies aligned with business goals, identifying tax savings opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Organise and maintain meticulous records, updating the company's tax database regularly.
• Prepare necessary paperwork and analyses for tax inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily accessible.
• Collaborate with the accounting department and external auditors, driving the audit process efficiently.

The skills & experience needed as Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related subject.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Fluency in English is essential for effective communication and collaboration within our global team.
• Excellent analytical skills, able to analyse financial data and provide insights for decision making.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Adept at problem-solving, identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records.
• A keen interest in staying updated on changes in audit requirements and tax laws.
