Increasingly organisations globally are looking to their contracting function to effectively underpin the operational benefits obtained through both tendering and or negotiation. In addition to effectively contractualising these benefits, contract teams are also expected to be able to balance liabilities, protect against the impacts of termination and ensure that the resulting contract is legally compliant and effective both locally, regionally and internationally. This interactive five day accredited course leads delegates through the full end of the contracting process, from establishing the specific contract objectives and prioritization of these objectives, through to effective contract negotiation and drafting. The course covers both the technical/legal aspects of contract construction and also expands to incorporate cross cultural contract considerations within both UNCITRAL and International Law and crucially the art of cross cultural negotiation from both a Western, Middle East and Pan-Asean perspective. Enabling delegates to complete the course fully equipped with an understanding of the key legal principles that underpin contracts globally and how these principles may be utilized within effective contract clause construction in order that they are able to provide the optimum contract format that both protects against risks whilst providing capture of operational benefits.

Why can’t companies achieve the improvement that they read about in articles and see in presentations? Studies have shown that 75% of process projects fail in some way. What is it that BPM professionals know about improvement that companies are missing? The core reason for the company shortfall is that people don’t know what techniques, methods and tools are available and how to apply them in their situations. Would an audit or improvement assessment help? When would you do a capability check on your process improvement efforts? Since improvement efforts range from fixing problems to major or complete enterprise transformation, a scalable approach is needed for success. Understanding when, how and why to apply improvement techniques is key to process success. Most companies understand the idea of improving a process with observation. This does not yield real improvement but it does get the process ‘up to specification’ like doing maintenance on your car. It doesn’t improve the car but it keeps running as designed. This professional training session provides a hands on, skill oriented working knowledge of the improvement techniques that process professionals should be using. The learning approach focuses on output and outcomes that lead to improvement success. Participants can apply this learning as soon as they get back to their office.

Operational Management and Leadership is about getting the most out of your teams and delivering exceptional results. With the ever increasing budgetary demands on all organisations, be it the private or public sector, staff productivity and discretional effort is becoming ever more critical. This paradoxically at a time when customer and stakeholder expectations and demands are ever increasing as service excellence becomes the differentiator between the success of your business and its competitors. If in the public sector, why should those paying for your service similarly not expect this to be world class? This course will identify the key drivers in delivering exceptional operational performance by looking at vision and mission statements, strategic objectives cascading into team and individual objectives, and the identification, transparency and effectiveness of business measurements that in turn link to their performance and how they are appraised. In summary, it’s about delivering “Results through People” by ensuring complete engagement of your teams that in turn delivers and responds to the increasing demands of service excellence and your bottom line. On completion of this five day training course you will receive your certificate which has been fully accredited by Qualifi, an official UK Government recognised awarding body.
