The NEBOSH International Diploma is designed for individuals who want to progress their career in health & safety and to develop the international knowledge and skills in order to become an international health & safety practitioner. All occupational health & safety practitioners (OHASPs) need to have a common core of knowledge in order to practice effectively. This common core of knowledge must be transferable between the different occupational sectors in which OHASPs may work, ranging across all parts of industry, commerce and the public sector. The NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety provides the knowledge and understanding that underpins competent performance as an OHASP.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management provides an excellent overview of environmental management systems, including the relevant international standards and best practices for control of environmental hazards. The NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is widely respected by employers worldwide; holders are eligible to apply for Technician Membership of CIWEM (TechCIWEM)
The NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (ICC) is designed to provide those making day-to-day decisions in construction work, with the knowledge they need to ensure that the health and safety implications are properly considered in their decision making. The NEBOSH International Construction Certificate is widely respected by employers worldwide and meets the requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and Associate Membership of IIRSM (AIIRSM).
The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) covers the principles relating to health and safety, identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical application of this knowledge. The IGC syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards, such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) codes of practice. Local laws and cultural factors may form part of the study programme where relevant and appropriate.
