SBM was founded in 1978 by a Saudi/Finnish partners to produce quality Ready Mix Concrete in Jeddah in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since inception SBM had undergone a tremendous transformation in the capital structure starting from the buying out of the foreign partners on the eve of 1999 and the subsequent participation of Saudi businessmen. This had positively led to the expansion of its investments and operations and the diversification of its products.

Over the years SBM Co. has grown from an operation of one plant, few truck mixers and concrete pumps to 7 plants that distribute its production by the increased numbers of truck mixers and pumps. Production went from 36,000 cubic meters yearly to over 650,000 cubic meters.

SBM Co. headquarters and sales offices are located in the Industrial area of Jeddah next to Plant 2.
