SAB was established in 1990, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), by Sheikh Salah al Belawi, as a trading company. The scope of operations was soon extended to include various aspects of real estate, and thereafter, in forming regional partnerships with international firms like Alcatel and Logica.
These regional representations include the launch of several pioneering products and technologies which were introduced for the first time in the country, exclusively under the mantle of SAB.
In the last 18 years, its operations and activities have grown manifold to encompass diverse interests, and SAB is now hailed as a well established and highly reputed business group, controlling over US$3.5 billion in assets.
SAB’s businesses encompass a significant number of mutually complementing requirements in the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) sector. This is strongly augmented with a strong retail and lifestyle presence across the region, especially through the consumer brand Lingo.
