Rearden Educational was launched in 1991 in Beirut, Lebanon. It then incorporated in the Dubai Knowledge Village in 2003. The company started out as a book supplier to schools. In 1996, It became an agent to large European publishers covering the GCC and Levant markets. In 2000, Rearden started to offer educational services to schools through teacher training. In 2002, it launched its children’s bookstore Kidshop and Mustard in Beirut. In 2007, Rearden ended its agency agreements with all publishers as it was focusing more and more on educational services. In 2010, Rearden became a company that has launched a school in Syria, consulted and now manages two schools in Lebanon. It has run four successful professional development conferences in Dubai under the TeachME name, and has recruited teachers for schools under its teacher recruitment service. Rearden is also the publisher of The Middle East Educator, a magazine on education in the Arab world in the English language.
