Ophir Printers & Publishers was established with the vision to empower free and creative thinking by restoring a knowledge-culture to the Arab World. Our aims are to promote a reading culture as well as advance education and progress in the region with a special focus on young people and women. To achieve this, we are intent on elevating the Arabic book to a higher level of quality in terms of content and look, as well as introducing translations of well-known works that will have value for our region. We choose not to be market-driven, producing only those materials that are in line with our values. We seek to promote knowledge, not for its sake alone, but knowledge that brings life in all its dimensions: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

We’re proud of our choices to publish literature in Arabic that makes a difference. The publication of C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" in Arabic continues to delight and stimulate the imaginations of young and old. Our "Handbook on Counseling Youth" book is a great resource for parents, youth leaders and teachers and is in its 5th reprint. "Baby & Childcare", due to come out this year, is a treasure chest of practical advice for parents as they raise children from babies to teenagers. ...Show less
