IIL formed in 1948 is a public limited company with ISO 9001, ISO 2000 and ISO 14001 certification and Pakistan's leading manufacturer and exporters of galvenised pipes and precision steel tubing.

The Company is divided into the Pipe and Cold Rolling Divisions. The manufacturing facilities are based on a twenty two-acre plot in the Landhi Industrial Area of Karachi. Its modern and state-of-the-art plants comprise of the following:

- Pipe & Tube Division

- Cold Rolling Division

- Ancillary Machinery & Equipment

Annual Manufacturing Capacities:

- Pipe production 180,000 metric tons

- Hot Dip Galvanizing 120,000 metric tons

- Cold Rolled Steel strip 40,000 metric tons
