About

The quest for quality began in 1981 when the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation was established to serve as a substitute for foreign companies and contribute to the development of services for consumers in the UAE. Since that time, the Corporation has assumed national responsibility for the marketing and distribution of quality petroleum produacts. Innovation, quality and customer satisfaction have always been the cornerstone of every policy decision at Emarat - a corporate ethos that has taken the Corporation to the forefront of petroleum retailing in the region today. "We aim to be the best petroleum corporation in the Gulf region for customer service, employee commitment and return to shareholders." Upholding its corporate vision, the Corporation has pioneered a number of developments within the UAE petrol retailing industry. With the commissioning of its Emojet facility at the Dubai International Airport in 1992, the Corporation entered the field of aviation refuelling. Emarat made a further inroad into this sector when in March 1997, it commissioned a purpose-built, state-of-the-art aviation fuel depot at Sharjah International Airport and later at Fujairah International Airport. In line with its policy to expand into the other sector of industry, Emarat bought 20 per cent equity in a lubricant blending plant in Jebel Ali in April 1997. The investment in "Melubco" allows the Corporation to exercise direct control over the manufacturing process and quality of a range of top-grade lubricants. ...Show less
