About

The Al Noor Training Centre was established in 1981 with just 8 children. Since then we have expanded, year on year, to enrich the lives of hundreds of children and young adults with various physical and cognitive challenges.

We have a holistic approach to the wellbeing and development of all our students, who benefit from individual, specially designed programmes to suit their specific needs. We employ Trans-Disciplinary Assessment and Intervention methods to ensure each child gets the precise help they need.

Our broad curriculum covers all areas of training and development and we offer a wide range of therapies, vocational training, work placement schemes, co-curricular activities and satellite programmes – all designed to support students and their families every step of the way.

Today we have over 250 students of more than 35 nationalities, who enjoy the excellent facilities of our purpose-built centre. Our children are taught in bright and airy classrooms, many fitted with the latest specialist equipment. We lead the way in employing assistive technology to help them achieve their maximum potential. We are proud to boast a well- equipped gym, a large multi-purpose auditorium, a swimming pool and a shaded, outdoor playground.

The centre was generously donated by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein facilitated the project and honoured us when she opened the centre in 2007.

We are a non-profit organisation and we rely on fundraising and sponsorship to cover the costs of running our school and providing an excellent learning experience for our students. We depend on the support of the community to achieve this
