The company is owned by Mr. Hesham El Sewedy a prominent regional businessman, Mr. Mohamed Abdallah, Co-Founder of Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Egypt, & Ms. Rana Adawi, Ex M D of EFG-Hermes Portfolio Management arm. The Firm paid in capital is LE 50m. The firm was acquired by the Holding company in Dec 2009 & was previously ranked 141 among 146 Securities Brokers in Egypt. In less than 6 operative months the company’s rank leaped to the 28th broker in the country. Mr. Abdalla; Chairman of Acumen Securities has over 15 years of experience in the equity & real estate markets. His experience includes founding and managing InterCapital Securities in 1997, which shortly after its inception was ranked as one of Egypt’s top three brokerage firms which participated in most of Egypt’s major public sector companies’ privatizations and private placements. the firm merged with Robert Fleming, changing its name into Fleming CIIC Securities that soon after merged with EFG-Hermes in 2000. Mr. Abdalla then brought the first real estate franchise to Egypt and co-founded Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Egypt. Acumen Securities is a sister company to Acumen Asset Management that is run by Ms. Rana Adawi who also comes with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.
