We have come around to that time of year; the time of year when you should be more active than ever in your job search. That is, we are steadfast approaching job fair season, so you need to make sure you are doing everything you can in order to prepare yourself for it and not miss out.
Job fairs, sometimes called career fairs, are like a flea market or bazaar for jobs. Employers from varying industries and company sizes get a kiosk and pitch their positions with the hopes of attracting top talent to their companies. If you have never been to a job fair before, or have had unsuccessful experiences at previous ones, it is likely that you do not know which boxes you need to tick off before you even get dressed to go to the fair. Fear not, because, as always, Bayt.com has got your back.
In this week’s episode of Career Talk, Bayt.com’s very own Hatem Hannoun takes you through the basic steps of preparing for a job fair.
Now that you have watched the video and have an idea on what you need to do to get ready, make sure that you are on the lookout for upcoming job fairs in your area. Update and fine-tune your CV to make sure it is in its best shape, and don’t forget to rub the magic ‘share’ button to fulfil three wishes – not exactly.
