Career Talk Episode 21: How to Deliver a Great Presentation

presentation, career planning, jobs, performance, soft skills, presentation skills, public speaking, projects, management

Whether it’s for a class in school, a project in university or a task at work, presentations can be very tough to crack. Many people freeze up at the idea of presenting in front of a group of people, and even those who do not have the usual stage-fright find themselves faced with common issues and mistakes that impact their presentation skills. Murphy’s Law dictates that something will go wrong, but with the right preventative precautionary steps, you can mitigate this likelihood as much as possible.

In your career, there will come a time when you need to put your presentation skills to use. There is no need to panic whether you are great at giving presentations or if your skills could use some fine-tuning. There are different little steps you can take that go a long way and vastly improve your chances of delivering a great presentation. It is time to set aside your flashcards and get to the meat of what makes a great presentation, with guidance from Bayt.com’s very own Hatem Hannoun.

Now that you have watched the video, we want to ask a few parting questions. What is the worst presentation experience you have ever had and how did you learn from it? Are there any big pointers we missed in our video? If you were to give advice to someone prepping for a major presentation, what would it be?

Remember to give the share button some love if you think that this advice can help someone you know and to check out the rest of Career Talk’s videos. Each episode explores a different topic, whether it is geared towards people looking for jobs or those seeking to achieve success in their current careers. And let us know if you have any questions or suggestions for future episodes in the comments below.
