A great finding was that although over 84% of professionals polled on bayt.com indicated they were ''active'' jobseekers and wanted a new job immediately, as many as 13.5% indicated they had an online presence as ''passive'' jobseekers and they simply ''wanted to know whats out there just in case''. More proof that jobsites are the primary and most critical window to the region's top career opportunities and an open window that today's regional professionals largely agree they cannot afford to keep closed.
Additional good news the poll revealed was that 51.2 % of Middle East professionals did not have any issues with having their resume on a jobsite as they are aware it allows them the most access to employers. 39.3% admitted their company recruited using a leading job site, indicating the great penetration online recruitment currently enjoys in the region and its wide popularity with the MENA’s employers; and in an astounding nod to the success of online recruitment in the region, more than 10% of respondents said they themselves knew more than 5 people who had found their jobs online including 7.2% of professionals who knew more than 10 people who had found their jobs online.
