As the MENA region solidifies its position as a global business hub, fostering workplace diversity and inclusion has become increasingly vital for organizational success and innovation. Forward-thinking companies are recognizing that fostering a diverse, inclusive environment not only enhances employee satisfaction but also drives innovation and performance. This will showcase how diversity and inclusion truly look like in the region's workplaces and how employees perceive these initiatives.

Bayt.com’s latest Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Poll provides a comprehensive snapshot of how diversity and inclusion are being implemented across industries, uncovering key insights into employee attitudes and experiences and how these efforts contribute to job satisfaction and organizational success.

Key Findings:

  • Over 80% of employees felt that diversity and inclusion in the workplace are important, with 61.4% saying it is very important.
  • More than 80% of employees think their workplace encourages interaction among employees from different backgrounds with 54.1% believing it is strongly encouraged within their organization.
  • The majority of employees are aware of biases or stereotypes in your workplace with over 60% being aware, of which 34.1% are extremely aware.
  • More than 80% of employees' diversity and inclusion initiatives contribute to their job satisfaction, with 48.8% responding that it significantly contributes to their job satisfaction.
  • Almost 90% of employees think their workplace addresses issues related to discrimination or bias, with 33.3% responding that it does it extremely well.

Data for the Bayt.com Workplace Diversity and Inclusion poll was collected online from 30th August – 1st October 2024. The results are based on respondents from countries including UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Sudan, among others.
