This e-fair, the first of its kind in the UAE, allows job seekers to register on the site www.abudhabi.ae/efair through any computer with Internet access, and visit the various sections of the fair to know all about the participant parties, ensure unique jobs opportunities, insert a CV and interact with employers in an appropriate manner. Business owners in the UAE can also search for skilled potential, without being present at a particular place and taking time to attend the fair in person - as is the case in conventional fairs. This will save time and travel costs along with allowing both the employers and job seekers to have a conversation via video-conferencing over the Internet. The fair also secures full confidentiality for the participants and includes3-D Virtual Spaces reserved for the involved participants. At every participant’s stand, there are information about the name of the enterprise/company and it business logo as in conventional fairs, so the visitor would have access to a number of private information about the company, including its culture, objectives and followed procedures of employment.
“The site of Jobs Abu Dhabi was created in October2008 as part of the e-government program and in the framework of the strategy of achieving governmental e-services in Abu Dhabi, adopted by the Centre. Jobs Abu Dhabi became the most important site visited by employers and job seekers in the Emirate. In fact the number of visitors reached1.2 million from150 countries around the world until last March. The site provides through the Employment e-Fair hundreds of job opportunities, and it is expected to attract more than six thousand job seekers during the days of the event”. said H.E. H.E. added "By organizing this e-fair (www.abudhabi.ae/efair), we aim at increasing the effectiveness of the labor market through innovative methods, in Abu Dhabi in particular and in the other Emirates of UAE in general, and to assist the government and private agencies in the employment process, enable the Government of Abu Dhabi to be more effective and efficient in the provision of modern services the broader society members in accordance with sophisticated innovative solutions provided by modern technology while building social awareness of the benefits of using IT, whether by the government or in other aspects of life, in order to make the lives of citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi much easier.”
