Following the phenomenal success of the last two Virtual Job Fairs (VJF) in Jordan, Bayt.com, the region’s number one job site, announced today that it will be hosting its third job fair in Jordan between October3 and October7. The hassle-free online job forum aims to boost the Jordanian job market and get job seekers and employers to interact directly without the need of intermediation.
“Today, employers and job seekers alike realise the myriad advantages that using the Internet for recruitment brings. The previous two job fairs in Jordan were huge successes. Last year’s fair alone recorded over20,000 total views and received over6,000 registration and we except the third one to be even better. , commented Amer Zureikat, Vice President Sales Bayt.com
VJF Jordan will provide candidates with the easy and unique option to ‘attend’ the job fair from any Internet-accessible computer and submit their resumes to participating companies of interest at all times; while enabling local, regional and international employers to establish an active talent-seeking presence, without physically being in a location.
“We are proud to be the media partner for VJF Jordan. Such forums not only help job seekers and employers, they also foster positive economic development which is greatly needed in these challenging times,” stated Mr. Mohamed K Alayyan, Publisher and CEO of Al Ghad Newspaper, the event’s official Media Sponsor.
Over the past two years, Bayt.com has hosted more than11 successful online job fairs, which have welcomed job seekers and professionals from across the Middle East region. For the fair, Bayt.com constructs animated3D “virtual booths” on the website for the different participating companies. The virtual booths, like physical job fairs, are branded with the exhibitor’s name and logo and provide visitors access to a range of information about that particular company.
“Hosting the third VJF in Jordan demonstrates our commitment to boosting the country’s labour market, especially during these challenging economic times. Throughout the past two years, Bayt.com’s VJF’s around the Middle East region have proven to be a very popular and efficient way for job seekers to actively find and apply for employment - all via one central and convenient location,” added Zureikat.
The innovative virtual job fair will also feature a CV drop option for job seekers to directly submit their CV to the booths of their choice and directly apply for advertised jobs; and the opportunity for employers and job seekers to interact in real time via online or video chat. A series of links will enable job seekers to connect to a directory of current vacancies in a particular company, avoiding the hassle of having to root through various job postings.
In terms of employer benefits, the virtual job fair provides the ideal forum to increase brand awareness and visibility, and allows organisations to advertise their job vacancies on the Middle East’s number one job site, which already has over4.75 million registered users from over94 industries and185 countries. Participating in the online job fair also minimises the hassle, time, and resource requirements often associated with event management at a physical job fair; allows for cost savings of up to50% and can maximise an organisation’s HR ROI. Post event; employers that participated will have the option to measure the success of the virtual job fair for their organisation, with advanced and accurate reporting tools.
“At Orange, we believe our most important asset is our people. We are therefore very excited about the Bayt.com Virtual Job Fair. The VJF is not only hassle- and stress-free, it will also enable us to source, screen and hire the region’s top talent easily and optimally in a very short space of time ”, stated Mr. Motassem Salameh, Employment Acting Manager at Orange.
The last VJF Jordan welcomed more than2,500 unique visitors.13 employers took part in this event and over80 jobs were available for job seekers during the fair.
