Four in 10 Jordanians Expect to Find Their Ideal Job in the Next Six Months, According to a Bayt.com and YouGov Survey

The state of economies are ever changing and the world’s economy is set to grow in2018, but what about the regional economies? The latest results from the Middle East Job Seeker Confidence Survey carried out by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s number one job site, and global market research company, YouGov, indicates that nearly four in10 respondents in Jordan (39%) are either “somewhat” or “very hopeful” that they will find their ideal job in the next six months.

Job Satisfaction

With regards to job satisfaction levels,36% of respondents in Jordan are satisfied with their career growth opportunities, while20% were neutral.

More than four in10 respondents in Jordan (41%) are satisfied with the level of job security that they have in their current organization, while18% were neutral.

In terms of work-life balance,41% of respondents in Jordan said they were satisfied, while25% were neutral.

Looking at future career growth opportunities,71% of respondents in Jordan believe that career growth opportunities will either improve or remain similar, while only21% said they could get worse.

When it comes to job security,63% of respondents in Jordan believe it will either improve or remain similar.26% of respondents believe that it could get worse in the next six months.

Personal Economic Conditions

Jordanian respondents were asked about their personal financial conditions. Nearly one third (32%) of believe that their or their family’s financial position will “improve” in the next six months.29% of respondents expect their financial conditions to “remain the same as it is now,” while only20% of them said they could recede.

Looking at current business conditions in Jordan, about half of respondents (47%) think they are “good”, “very good”, or “average”.24% of respondents are also optimistic about improvements in business conditions within the next year.

Data from the2017 Bayt.com Middle East Job Seeker Confidence Survey was collected online from August1st,2017 to August24th,2017. Countries included the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, and others.
