Dubai,09 April2018 – Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) has partnered with Bayt.com, the UAE’s largest job site, to conduct an innovative hiring event that overcomes common constraints such as availability or geographic distances, helping hundreds of fresh graduates find a career in leading organizations. The event aims to expose available vacancies to a larger and more diverse job-seeker audience by supplementing the onsite event with innovative technology that enables graduates from all around the world to participate remotely.
Dubai International Academy City (DIAC), the world’s largest higher education free zone, has been leading an initiative to close the employment gap between global companies and recent graduates from top universities. Since its inception in2007, DIAC has successfully delivered its annual Career Fairs and for the first time offers a hybrid career fair, consisting of an onsite, as well as digital event component.
For the first time ever, this onsite event will be optimized with ScanShake’s CV Capture Tool to assist employers in efficiently reaching relevant talent by letting them scan and collect student CVs digitally, bookmark candidates of choice within the app and collaborate with the whole recruitment team over their digital CV database, thereby offering an environmentally-friendly solution by reducing the amount of paper print-outs.
To bolster participation from both graduates and exhibitors alike, the event will continue to operate online for another three days after14th May. This digital extension of the career fair will be powered by vFairs and will mimic the physical event with rich features to enhance user experience for both exhibitors and job-seekers. To empower exhibitors in effectively showcasing their employer brand and finding relevant talent, the digital event will be equipped with virtual booths, textual/audio/video chat facilities, a searchable CV database and webinars. At the same time, job-seekers will be exposed to a dynamic virtual environment where they can easily browse exhibitor booths, interact with employers, view on-demand content and apply for vacancies entirely from the comfort of their homes.

With an expected turnout of over10,000 fresh graduates,60+ employers and300+ job opportunities, the event is showing clear signs of being the biggest student career fair in the region this year that will connect graduates from the fields of Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Arts, Healthcare and Hospitality with top employers in the region.
