Bayt.com Reveals Most Sought-after Skills by Jordan Employers this Quarter

Dubai, UAE,29 September2019: Project Manager (18%), Sales Executive (18%), and Sales Manager (18%) emerged among the top roles that Jordan employers are hiring for in the coming quarter, revealed a research study conducted amongst companies in Jordan by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s #1 job site, in partnership with YouGov. This is followed by Public Relations Specialist and Customer Service Representative at15%, and Receptionist and Managing Director – both at12%.

Roles and Expertise

When it comes to skill sets in Jordan, good communication skills in both the English and Arabic languages are highly sought after (67%). This is followed by being a team player (39%), overall personality and demeanor (36%), and having the ability to work under pressure (29%).

Computer Science (14%) and ICT qualifications (14%) are the most sought-after academic qualifications by employers in Jordan, followed by business management (12%).

Leading Industries

Banking & Finance (30%) is seen as the industry that attracts top talent in Jordan. This is followed by Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations (25%), Education & Academia (19%), and IT (18%).

Banking and Finance continues to be the main industry attracting national talent (31%) and fresh graduates (29%). This is followed by Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations with22% for national talent and29% for fresh graduates. When it comes to female talent, Education & Academia (31%) is considered the most attractive, followed by Advertising, Marketing and Public (30%), Healthcare & Medical Services (29%), and Banking and Finance (28%).

The survey, administered by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s #1 job site, and YouGov, a global pioneer in online market research, aims to illustrate hiring intentions of employers in the Middle East & North Africa. .

Data for the Middle East Job Index Survey for August2019 was collected online from July11th2019 and August17th2019. Results are based on a sample of1,886 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and others.
