Bayt.com Reveals Most Sought-after Skills by UAE Employers this Quarter

Dubai, UAE,29 September2019: Sales Manager (30%), Sales Executive (28%), and Marketing Executive (21%) emerged among the top roles that employers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are hiring for in the coming quarter. This was just revealed in a research study conducted amongst companies in the MENA region by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s #1 job site, in partnership with YouGov. These positions were followed by Director and Customer Service Representative at19%, and Marketing Manager, Project Manager, HR Professional, PR Specialist, and HR manager – all at16%.

Roles and Expertise

Business management (24%) and engineering (24%) are the most sought-after academic qualifications amongst employers in the UAE, followed by commerce (19%) and science qualifications (19%).

Leading Industries

Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations (35%) is seen as the industry that attracts top talent across the country. This is followed by Hospitality, Recreation, and Entertainment (28%), Banking & Finance (25%), and Business Consultancy (25%).

The survey, administered by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s #1 job site, and YouGov, a global pioneer in online market research, aims to illustrate hiring intentions of employers in the Middle East & North Africa.

Data for the Middle East Job Index Survey for August2019 was collected online from July11th2019 and August17th2019. Results are based on a sample of1,886 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and others.
