Contrary to popular belief, companies (especially in the MENA region) do not put a stop to their recruitment and hiring activities during Ramadan, as employers on Bayt.com are highly active throughout the holy month. So, this can be a great chance for you to find the right opportunities and land your dream job!

How does completing my Bayt.com profile help?

Having a complete profile on Bayt.com is an essential step towards building your online professional presence and increasing your chances of ranking higher and higher in the applicant pool. Additionally, having a complete profile will increase your visibility among employers who use the CV search feature to headhunt candidates instead of posting job vacancies. Bonus: by optimizing your profile, you’ll also help Bayt.com in recommending jobs that are relevant to you and your experiences, making your job hunt easier and more effective!

To complete this challenge, simply follow these steps:

Day #1 - Reach 80% profile completeness

What?

The first step to completing your profile on Bayt.com is to ensure that you have filled out at least 80% of the required fields like your email and mobile number, your preferred job, your latest/current experience, and a professional photo.

Why?

A complete profile signals to potential employers that you’re serious about your career and are invested in building a professional brand.

How?

  • Open your Bayt.com app, OR log in to your Bayt.com account
  • Go to your profile tab, OR your CV page
  • Click on the “Profile Strength” button at the bottom of the screen and fill out the required fields, OR fill out the fields listed on the “Improve your profile” card

*Bayt.com will show you a progress bar indicating how much of your profile is complete.

Day #2 - Add/verify your contact information

What?

Make sure that the contact information you added on Bayt.com is verified and up to date. This includes your phone number, email address, and social media profiles.
Why?

Without a verified mobile number and email address, recruiters won’t be able to contact you directly for job opportunities.
How?

  • Open your Bayt.com app, OR log in to your Bayt.com account
  • Go to your profile tab, OR your CV page
  • Scroll down to the "Contact Information'' section
  • Fill out and verify your phone number and email address

Day #3 - Make your profile public

What?

Think of your Bayt.com public profile as your online business card, or as your window to the job market. Not having a public profile means that your visibility to employers is limited.

Why?

This will allow your profile to appear in employer searches and increase your chances of being contacted for job opportunities.

How?

Day #4 - Add relevant keywords to your CV

What?

Every vacancy has certain requirements and expectations from the applicants. So, make sure to add relevant keywords to your Bayt.com profile and CV.

Why?

By using the right keywords that relate to your industry, skills, and experience, you can optimize your profile and increase your chances of getting noticed by recruiters.

How?

  • Identify these keywords by looking at job descriptions of positions you want to apply for.
  • Add these relevant keywords to your profile, by including them in your skills section and work experience descriptions.

Day #5 - Write a compelling personal summary

What?

Add a gripping and professional personal summary that showcases your professional accomplishments, strengths, and goals to your profile.

Why?

Adding a well-written, keyword-rich personal summary to your Bayt.com profile shows the hiring manager that you have a sense of direction and genuinely care about the role you’re applying for.

How?

  • Open your Bayt.com app, OR log in to your Bayt.com account
  • Go to your profile tab, OR your CV page
  • Scroll down to the "Preferred Job” section
  • Click on the “pencil icon”, and fill out the “Personal Summary” field
