Bayt.com Poll: Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa 2020

Ramadan is a very positive time in the Middle East, revolving around doing good deeds and practicing self-restraint. How does productivity change during Ramadan? What special adjustments do MENA employers make to support their employees? How does workload change during the Holy Month?

Bayt.com polled thousands of professionals throughout the MENA region to illustrate their opinions, strategies and behaviors throughout the Holy Month. Let’s take a look at their valuable insights.

Key Findings:

  • More than 8 in 10 professionals plan to make more time for finding a job during Ramadan.
  • 60% of respondents said their productivity doesn’t change during the Holy Month.
  • 55% of respondents agree that their company increases charitable activities.
  • 73% of professionals are satisfied with the support they receive from management during Ramadan.
  • 39% of respondents said their workload increases, while 23% said it stays the same.

Data for ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa’ poll was collected online from March 19, 2020 to May 3, 2020. Results are based on a sample of 2487 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and others.
