Bayt.com Infographic: Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace

The Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace’ poll shows that the majority of professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region agree that Ramadan is one of their favorite times of the year, and that they use Ramadan to connect with others and reflect on their personal life and career.

Key findings:

  • 86.8% of respondents agree that Ramadan is one of their favorite times of the year.
  • More than half (53.7%) say they socialize more with colleagues at work during Ramadan.
  • More than eight in ten (81.1%) feel they see more family and friends throughout the holy month.
  • 94.9% say they give more to charity, and96.1% use Ramadan as a time to reflect on their lives and become better people.
  • The majority (53.7%) do not take time off during Ramadan, however,56.9% say they travel during Eid break.

Data for the Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace’ poll was collected online from May 17, 2016 to May 29, 2016. Results are based on a sample of 3,660 respondents from the UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
