Key findings:

  • The HR and Marketing departments are perceived as the main departments responsible for employer branding, both at 18.7%.
  • Better employee engagement (23.4%), higher job acceptance rates (12.4%) and recognition as employer of choice (11.4%), are the top3 benefits of employer branding.
  • 84.5% of professionals believe that engaging with potential job seekers on social media platforms is positive for a company’s branding.
  • Wellness programs (21.6%), flexible hours and dress code (18.9%) and regular fun office events and activities (11.2%), are the top things that appeal to job seekers across the region.
  • Reputation and culture (11.9%) are among the most important attributes for companies who want to attract top talent.

Data for the Bayt.com ‘Trends in Employer Branding in the Middle East and North Africa’ poll was collected online from March 17, 2016 to April 20, 2016. Results are based on a sample of 6,954 respondents. Countries that participated in the poll include the UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Tunisia, Qatar, KSA and Yemen.
