7:30 am: Check my e-mails. All about technical queries or problems: bugs, status reports. Send out my replies and CC my team members with all issues that need special or urgent assistance.
10:00 am: Coffee break. (I have an orange juice in the floor kitchen instead)
10:15 am: My day is ready to officially start rolling. I put on my headphones and immerse myself into the compiling codes piled up from yesterday for a good3 hours before lunch.
1:00 pm: Lunch time! Go down to Whistlers coffee shop down the corner. I have been addicted to their focaccia paninis and strawberry tart for3 years now.
2:00 pm: Back in my office. Wrap up this morning’s development work. Take notes of what changes in the coding system are required. Take notes of what should be tested as well
2:30 pm: Team meeting moderated by the senior team leader. Discuss who is working on what, what assistance is required from which sides, any new technologies worth contemplating and what progress has been done towards our monthly projects. Meeting wrapped up with tea and cinnamon cookies.
3:30 pm: Get back to coding. Make sure all major parts planned are finished and codes can be checked in.
5:30 pm: Done for today. I check my e-mails one last time before unfolding the scooter and heading back home.
