Job Description
The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by delivering excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional, friendly attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Guest Experience:
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
- Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer any questions about menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Ensure prompt and professional service, maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Anticipate guest needs and handle any requests or complaints efficiently.
2. Order & Service Management:
- Serve food and drinks accurately and efficiently.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals.
- Process bills and payments using the restaurant’s POS system.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
3. Table & Restaurant Maintenance:
- Set up tables before service, ensuring they are clean and well-presented.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including cutlery, glassware, and napkins.
- Clear tables promptly and reset them for new guests.
4. Compliance & Teamwork:
- Follow restaurant health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high level of hygiene and personal grooming standards.
- Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues to create a smooth dining experience.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and restaurant policies.
