Job Summary:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical aspects of luxury
interior design and fit-out projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards of
quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction
and fit-out works, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage both the technical and
logistical aspects of site operations. The Site Engineer will work closely with the project
management team to ensure that all design specifications are adhered to and that the project is
delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Site Management: Supervise and coordinate all site activities, ensuring that
construction, installation, and fit-out works align with the design specifications, quality
standards, and safety regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the design
drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to
maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to contractors,
subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the construction and fit-out phases. Address any
issues or discrepancies related to design or construction on-site.
• Health & Safety: Ensure that the site complies with all health and safety regulations and
best practices. Monitor safety standards and report any potential risks or hazards to the
relevant authorities.
• Coordination with Teams: Liaise closely with the design team, project managers, and
subcontractors to resolve any technical challenges and ensure smooth communication
across all teams. Ensure any design changes or clarifications are communicated to all
relevant parties.
• Site Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of the project and report on timelines,
milestones, and site activities to the project manager. Ensure the project stays on schedule
and identify potential delays or obstacles early.
• Material and Resource Management: Ensure that materials and resources are delivered
to the site on time and in the required quantities. Coordinate with procurement to manage
the flow of materials and ensure quality control.
• Cost Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling project costs, including
ensuring that materials, labor, and time are used efficiently and cost-effectively. Help
with identifying any potential cost-saving opportunities during the construction and fit-
out process.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of site
activities, including daily site reports, inspection reports, and materials tracking. Prepare
reports for the project manager regarding site progress, issues, and solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Address any unforeseen issues that arise on-site, proposing and
implementing practical solutions to minimize disruptions to the project timeline and
quality.
• Client Interaction: Occasionally liaise with clients or client representatives on-site to
update them on progress and address any concerns related to the work being performed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site engineering or construction management, with
a focus on luxury interior design and fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of interior construction, finishes, fixtures, and materials,
particularly for high-end, luxury spaces.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, site safety protocols, and quality
control procedures.
• Experience working with high-profile clients and managing luxury or complex projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to manage contractors and
coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
