JOB OBJECTIVE
- Maintain IFEC system on Customer fleet during transit and scheduled checks. Manage team of line maintenance technicians during shift.
FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the supervision and performance of his team members.
- Ensuring only qualified technicians are assigned to perform the task.
- Ensuring adequate tools, equipment and materials are available for the assigned task.
- Ensuring the applicable approved documentation is available for the assigned task.
- Be knowledgeable and familiar with each customer’s statement of work (contractual requirements).
- Ensuring that customer is satisfied with AGS services and technicians’ performance.
- Addressing technicians’ issues and concern and resolve conflict in timely manner.
- Conducting station and individual training needs assessment and request training if needed.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as applicable to the station.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of facility, tools and equipment.
- Ensuring full compliance with all applicable Quality and Safety manuals.
- Performing trainings as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience with at least 2 years of Supervisory experience in Line and/or Base maintenance.
- Knowledge of electronic and troubleshooting generally acquired through commercial aviation or technical school education combined with adequate years of related industry experience (Avionics/IFE) with an airline. Thales IFE experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science in Aviation Electronics and/or Communication Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in team management
- Holder of an Aircraft Mechanic ICAO licence
- Bahraini national (preferred)
PREFERRED SKILLS
- High standard of team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Airline maintenance operations
- Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA and/or BCAA)
- High standard of English language
- High standard of computer literacy (MS office applications)
