Job Description

The Jr. Sous Chef at our fine-dining standalone restaurant is a crucial member of our culinary team, assisting in maintaining exceptional quality and service standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation
  • Supervising the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food safety standards are met
  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, contributing to the overall menu development
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Assisting in inventory management and ordering supplies


Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a culinary role
  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Strong knowledge of fine-dining cuisine and techniques
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Desired Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 12 years of culinary experience in upscale dining establishments
  • Proven track record of creativity and innovation in menu development
  • Experience in managing inventory, food costing, and kitchen operations
