Job Description

Job Objective

Responsible to manage Beyon Digital Shared IT to support the businesses internal divisions by driving the development & operation of Beyon Digital shared IT applications & services and establish the IT Strategy as part of the Digital Strategy.

Define the Shared IT strategy and drive the execution of the technology & applications roadmap, with an aim to contribute and help deliver Beyon Digital Strategy and Beyon Group Tech Strategy.

Establish best practices, for all Digital Shared IT operations & support.

Put in place and manage on an ongoing basis the shared services related IT processes covering changes in Architecture, Design, Development, QA and Deployment.

Manage the IT Scope Digital Shared Services Projects, and any Digital Shared services IT scope related to Beyon OpCo’s projects.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic

• Work closely with the Technology and business stakeholders to prepare digital IT Initiatives and ensure alignment to the Beyon Digital Growth and Group Tech Strategy.
• Develop & execute and drive shared services IT Roadmap.
• Monitor and report performance of all Digital Growth IT initiatives.
• Continuously develop the shared IT application/services Domains.

Financial

• Work closely with leadership to provide inputs for preparing Capex and Opex budget of the department while ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Track adherence to the approved department budget and prepare Budget reports, highlight deviations in time and recommend corrective course of action.
• Identify and drive cost optimisation initiatives to ensure an optimal Digital Shared IT cost footprint.

Operational

• Take technological ownership of all shared digital IT, and responsibility for its evolution including introduction of new systems aligned with the Digital Architecture Roadmap.
• Develop & execute recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness improvements for various services delivered.
• Align with business stakeholders on strategic, tactical and operational priorities and initiatives.
• Understand and comprehend business needs and translate the same to IT design and solutions for robust support and business enablement.
• Design, develop and deploy robust solutions in line with external and internal requirements.
• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Manage the relationship with external vendors & contractors leveraged for delivery & operations of IT services.
• Manage the interaction and projects with other Department by being the point of contact for development Projects that require IT involvement.
• Ensure adoption and adherence to industry standard development methodologies and procedures for all deliveries of Digital Shared IT.
• Plan and manage the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of resources; make the best utilisation of assigned resources, their skills and experiences in achieving the department objectives in an efficient & effective manner.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Develop security policy & procedures to ensure a robust security posture for all Digital Shared IT architecture, infrastructure & processes.
• Responsible for the security Operations, and monitoring of & resolution of any security issues.
• Collaborate with cyber security teams, for compliance.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Ensure effective alignment of IT governance and frameworks.
• Support on evaluation and selection of information systems / platforms, development processes, methodologies, tools, hardware, and standards.
• Drive Design, development and installation of enhancements / upgrades.
• Monitor adherence to procedures and controls at each sub-functional process, such that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to internal customers.
• Identify opportunities and redesign policies, processes, systems / structural programs and procedures for continuous improvement, covering all individual functional activities.
• Monitor information provided to address employee queries related to the functional area.
• Ensure that information required by internal and external auditors is provided within stipulated timelines to support all audit activities & requirements.
• Monitor coordination and resolution of all Risk & Audit issues related to Digital Shared IT.

People

• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of IT and business trends.
• Take ownership for attending the trainings as per the plan.
• Own the PMR process and ensure effective and timely completion of the same.
• Ensure high levels of employee engagement such that employees are highly motivated to provide the best performance.
• Ensure active participation in employee engagement surveys.
