Job Description

New F&B restaurant division is being started by this well-established Hotel Group, with new openings in Bahrain and fantastic expansion plans into KSA – we are on the search for a talented & experienced Director of F&B Development and Innovation to make this happen!


The role of F&B Director:


  • Responsible for executing and managing the F&B strategy against all existing assets and assets to be developed with particular emphasis on maximizing return on invested capital.
  • Full responsibility for operating profitability where applicable for franchise and company direct owned independent F&B establishments, including management of cash flow, commercial negotiation with brands and procurement of merchandise through close coordination with both Finance and procurement.
  • Lead, direct and manage the development of F&B strategies by undertaking detailed market assessments, socio economic value creation strategies, phasing assessments, marketing strategies and establishing detailed business plans and financial models that provide solid investment returns.
  • Close collaboration with Development teams are required to identify the best F&B mix and categories (mix, quality, price points, etc.) and to achieve synergy and cohesion with all F&B offerings in the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the different business units to establish and deliver F&B innovation & excellence with the objective to elevate the quality of the offering, to provide consumers with a uniquely curated F&B vision that is complementary across all the F&B offerings across company portfolio.

Ideal Candidate for the Director of Food & Beverage Development & Innovation:


  • Preferable to have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin, Economics, Real Estate, from an accredited university – MBA is desirable.
  • Professional expertise in F&B operations & management required
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience and proven track record in leading and delivering multi-asset, developments with partners, with 5 years in a senior management role, preferably in the Middle East
  • Excellent communication skills, with high standard of English (oral and written).
  • Well versed with various potential tenant-evolving requirements to ensure their need could be met by the developed designs.
  • Knowledgeable on market research related to up-and-coming F&B offerings
  • Developed business cases to support the F&B strategies.
  • Has strong relationships with F&B professionals /tenants / agents/ and related consultancies.
  • Solid negotiation skills to obtain most attractive commercial terms given the stated short- and long-term strategy of the company.
  • Liaise with tenants, lawyers and other parties as necessary in order to finalize contracts in a timely manner.
  • Develop detailed F&B P&L, including creation of unit budgets.

Salary Package & Benefits Offered:


BD 3000-3500 monthly base – negotiable and dependent upon experience plus allowances for housing & transport; family status and standard benefits on top
