Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to the recipes and standards of the establishment.
  • Assist in creating new pastry items and menu development.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
  • Collaborate with the pastry chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain high quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.


Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Commis Pastry or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for creating high-quality desserts.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a fine-dining restaurant or similar upscale establishment preferred.
  • Familiarity with pastry trends and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
