The Cocktail Waitress will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience through exceptional service in our upscale dining environment. Your primary responsibility will be to serve cocktails and beverages to patrons in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and present the cocktail menu with a knowledgeable understanding of the offerings.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Take accurate drink and food orders, and efficiently process payments.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar and serving stations.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints gracefully, escalating issues to the management as necessary.
- Assist in the setting up and breaking down of the bar and cocktail lounge area.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, as well as the hotel’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to improve service quality and beverage knowledge.
- Encourage guests to return by providing a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus.
- Current alcohol service certification (if required by local law).
- Strong understanding of cocktail recipes and beverage service techniques.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to enhancing the guest experience.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a waitress or bartender in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting preferred.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Knowledge of local and international beverage trends.
