Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  1. Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  2. Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff, enhancing their technical and professional skills.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  1. Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  2. Ensure accurate and timely monthly closures and reconciliations of financial records.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Manage the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions.

Cost Accounting & Production Oversight:

  1. Oversee factory and production accounting, including cost tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  2. Implement effective cost management and tracking processes to optimize production efficiency.
  3. Analyze manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and prepare periodic cost and productivity reports.
  4. Identify areas for improvement in product and manufacturing costing, providing recommendations to management.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

  1. Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  2. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support:

  1. Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
  2. Offer recommendations on cost savings, financial performance, and profitability to drive strategic initiatives.
  3. Prepare reports comparing factors affecting pricing and profitability.

Tax Compliance & ERP Implementation:

  1. Oversee corporate, direct, and indirect tax compliance and planning.
  2. Participate in ERP system implementation, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of financial processes.
