Business Development Manager

Become a part of our international Sales & Business Development team at one of our locations in Manama, Bahrain. For the next possible date we are looking for you in fulltime as Business Development Manager
Your tasks and responsibilities:
The position supports deugro’s business development efforts in Bahrain to ensure profitable growth of our business, customer satisfaction and customer relations and retention.
Contribute to the development and implementation of a Sales Plan.
Manage the sales cycle from the contacts stage to the post-closing stage for all projects to ensure all customer requirements are well understood and responded to taking into consideration the capabilities offered by deugro.
Deliver agreed revenue and share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research and market intelligence to the General Manager, Bahrain, highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue.
Review and track self-progress against revenue and targets; analyze sales/ revenue reports; recommend and propose changes to existing plans and operating budgets; implement approved changes.
Work closely with other internal departments and stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure client/ contractual needs and expectations are communicated to achieve positive results.
Proactively engage with the Operations Team to ensure all contractual requirements are well understood and ensure smooth on-boarding and execution of the contractual requirements.
Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives; take tactical actions to counter, protect and build deugro’s position.
Develop teamwork, demonstrating shared goals and values.

Represent deugro internally and externally.
Monitor receivables (days outstanding) for own controlled business and regularly take measures to meet set targets (KPI’s).
Adhere to all company policies in areas of compliance, QHSES, code of Business Conduct, employee handbook etc.
You may also be assigned such other duties as may become necessary at the discretion of the Management in any branch or office of the company and or its subsidiaries or Associate companies.
What you can contribute:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Sales/Business Development
Freight forwarding sales experience
Mandatory GCC experience, ideally Bahrain/ Saudi Arabia
Market & Industry Knowledge
Knowledge in one or more of the major freight forwarding disciplines, e.g. air, sea, surface transport, industrial projects, oil & gas etc.
Driver’s license
Ability to close business
Strong negotiating skills
