We're actively building it.Mission statementWe are looking for an application support engineer, to provide internal support to Keyrock’s different teams in order to ensure our operations run smoothly. You’ll be responsible for implementing and improving support processes, and for overseeing our internal tools.Our preference is for a candidate to be in either a USA or European Time zoneJob descriptionEnsure maximum uptime for multiple production systemsProvide L1/L2 application production support to internal usersProvide weekend support on a rotational basis and occasional public holiday supportManage, own and frequently follow-up incidents and requests raised to the teamMonitor and follow up critical system alerts; perform initial diagnosis and potential fix and escalate to the right teamsAssume the role of major incident manager upon major incidentsWork closely with internal users and external vendors to investigate and resolve production system issuesHelp refine and streamline day to day operations via automationsHelp to formulate and continuously improve the team’s way of working.Handle incident management, change management and response managementDocument knowledge articles and manage the team's knowledge baseBackground and experienceDegree in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Technology or similar discipline2-5 years of experience in application support or application development1-3 years of experience in supporting an exchange / high frequency / low latency trading platformsProficient in Database queries / SQLsKnowledge of AWSKnowledge in shell scripting and basic linux commandsExperience in building, deploying and maintaining monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc)Experience in deploying and maintaining container infrastructures (Kubernetes, docker-compose, etc)Past job experiences in building and supporting applicationsComfortable with analyzing logs and possess a keen eye for anomalies and inconsistenciesCompetences and personalityStrong team player with ability to proactively manage self and team's workOwnership mentality, attention to detail with an analytical mindsetStrong curiosity, eager to learn and desire to identify problems or root causes, and effectively communicate findings to the rest of the teamPassionate about technology with excellent problem solving skills and a keen eye for detailExcellent communication (both oral and written) in English and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management abilityOur recruitment philosophyWe value self-awareness in our recruitment process.
