Grant Thornton Abdulaal currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accountant to join one of clients within the Manufacturing industry dynamic team in Seef, Bahrain.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. You will work closely to address all business needs and provide tailored solutions to help achieve clients financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements, contracts, tax records, and compliance reports to identify potential risks and ensure all financial transactions and records are accurate and in compliance with relevant regulations. Perform thorough due diligence on financial, operational, and legal aspects of the company Oversee and execute the monthly financial closing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled.
Review and process accruals, prepare adjusting journal entries, and close the general ledger for the month-end close cycle. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly financial records. Compile and prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with applicable accounting standards Ensure that all statements reflect the true financial position of the organization, with appropriate disclosures and supporting documentation.
Review the financial records for completeness and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary. Prepare detailed management reports to assess financial performance, including profitability, cash flow, expenses, and budget variance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance to support management decision-making. Assist in preparing forecasts and budgeting reports, ensuring that financial performance is aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Experience working closely with external auditors is mandatory
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field ACCA or CPA qualification (preferred) Knowledgeable IFRS, hedging, manufacturing industry, and Arabic financial statement preparation Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services firm Strong knowledge of local accounting laws and regulations Proficient in MS Office and accounting software Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Native level language skills in English & Arabic
