Job Description

The Software Developer position in Vienna, Austria (remote), offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support various healthcare services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software solutions meet the needs of healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and a strong understanding of healthcare processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement software applications tailored for the healthcare industry.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  4. Maintain and update existing software applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
  5. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into development.
  7. Document software specifications, processes, and user manuals for future reference.
  8. Assist in training end-users on new software applications and features.
  9. Work with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software projects.
  10. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides.

Skills

  1. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, C++, Go.
  5. Web Development languages HTML5, CSS, Javascript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js) for web developers
  6. Knowledge of backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Node.js, and ASP.NET
  7. For mobile development, familiarity with Android (Java/Kotlin) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) would be beneficial
  8. Experience with database management systems like SQL or NoSQL.
  9. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  10. Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  11. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  12. Strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous learning.
  13. Experience with cloud computing platforms is a plus.
