Job Description

The Butchery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the butchery department in the supermarket. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the quality of meat products, maintaining inventory, and complying with health and safety regulations. The supervisor plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a butchery or meat processing environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  2. Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  2. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a refrigerated environment.
