Job Description

The Bakery Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket's bakery department. This includes overseeing the production of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. The supervisor will lead a team of bakers and bakery assistants, ensuring smooth operations, optimal inventory management, and adherence to food safety regulations. The role also includes maintaining an attractive bakery display and meeting customer demands for fresh products

Skills

Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a baker or in a bakery supervisory role, preferably in a supermarket or food service environment. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality baked goods.Knowledge of inventory control and waste managementPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warm environment. Ability to lift and carry heavy items.Comfort working with baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and baking sheets.
