Accountant position in Luanda, Angola,
Roles and Responsibilities
· Utilize SAP B1 software to manage and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processing.
· Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies, international accounting standards, and local regulations.
· Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
· Collaborate with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting.
· Monitor cash flow and perform cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and optimizing working capital.
· Conduct regular internal audits to identify and rectify financial discrepancies or irregularities.
· Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
· Support the preparation of financial reports for statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
· Stay updated with changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and SAP B1 functionalities, and provide training to relevant stakeholders as needed.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and procurement, to optimize processes and improve efficiency within the organization.
· Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
· Assist in ad-hoc financial projects, process improvements, and system enhancements as required.
· • Any other task assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· Professional certification such as MCOM-MBA Finance , CMA inter and CA inter is highly desirable.
· Proven experience working as an accountant, preferably in a manufacturing industry or similar setting.
· Proficiency in using SAP Business One (SAP B1) software is mandatory.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
· Good understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production processes.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
· Knowledge of Angolan accounting regulations and practices is a plus.
· Fluency in English is required Portuguese is preferred.
